4 Immigration Programs You Can Use to Immigrate to Canada

Are you trying to immigrate to Canada? Lucky for you, there are many ways to get into the country and finally earn your permanent residence status. Some are catered to entrepreneurs looking to create new businesses in the country, while others are geared towards loved ones wanting to bring their partners into Canada.

In this article, we will list down the possible venues which you can take to immigrate to Canada. Note that not all will work for you, and so you need to take the time to figure out which one applies to your case.

That said, here are various immigration programs you can use to immigrate to Canada:

1. Express Entry Program

Under the Express Entry program, you are allowed to live and work in Canada as a skilled worker. You will find three different federal economic programs, which are the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. All of these programs allow the provinces to select, evaluate, and recruit qualified immigrants—and if you are looking to enter Canada for work, this is the program you are looking at.

2. Family Class Sponsorships

Canada remains focused on reuniting families in the country, and as such, offers Family Class Sponsorship programs to make it happen. If you are living in Canada and want a loved one to join you that is outside the country, the program will allow you to do so.

If you live outside of the country but have a loved one in Canada that wants to bring you into the country, the program still applies. Note that for this program to work, the sponsor has to be a citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. For other things like sponsoring grandparents or parents, this program may not apply. However, there are still ways for them to enter, such as through a Super Visa.

3. Provincial Nominee Program

Provincial Nominee Program, as the name implies, allows provinces like Ontario and Alberta to nominate certain individuals to fly into the country and enter the appropriate provinces to work. The program will require you to have a job offer from a Canadian employer in the relevant state, and the program itself can differ from one province to the other.

As such, you will need to research the PNP programs that different provinces offer, as requirements may differ.

4. Investor Immigration Program

This immigration program is intended for those who are wealthy and have owned or operated a business in another country. In other words, if you have business experience and want to invest in the Canadian economy, the program is for you!

Note that there are two types of investor programs: the Quebec program and the Federal Investor Program. However, both programs are quite similar, and you will generally need to have a high net worth and make big investments to be approved.

Conclusion

There are plenty of other programs we have not mentioned yet. They include LMIA Work Visas, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program, refugee claims, and more. If you are struggling to figure out which program is right for you, feel free to reach out to an immigration consultant. They will analyze your needs to identify the right program to get you into Canada. Aside from that, they will help you gather all the documents and information you need to ensure your application enjoys the highest chance of being accepted, allowing your dream to move into Canada to become a reality.
