Whether you are just looking around looking for where to stay or merely exploring the country, Canada is filled with all sorts of eye-candy in the form of beautiful vistas and stunning, natural views. It’s a place where everyone, especially visitors to the country, will have to take the time to explore everything from one end of the country to the other.
That said, if you visit the country but are a little short on time, here are some places where we recommend that you pay a visit:
1. Dinosaur Valley
If you are a dinosaur enthusiast, then you must not miss Dinosaur Valley. As you can tell by its name, you can find plenty of dinosaur fossils there. In fact, it is home to some of the best in the world, and the on-site museum, known as the Royal Tyrrell Museum, is the perfect place for you to experience it all.
If you are looking for an amazing yet educational experience in Canada, do pay a visit to Dinosaur Valley and its museum.
2. Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
The place to be for all nature lovers, the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve holds some of the most beautiful beaches, rainforest, and islands you can ever find.
Ever heard of Long Beach? You can find this stunning stretch of sand in the reserve. To add to that, the beautiful West Coast Trail allows you to trek through a majestic rainforest, while the Broken Group Islands is the perfect place for you to put your kayaking skills to good use.
3. Old Montreal
If you fancy a little peek into what the past was like, the 400-year-old neighbourhood known as Old Montreal offers you precisely what you are looking for. Everything about it, from its shops to its restaurants and its famous Notre-Dame Basilica and Saint Paul Street, screams beautifully old. Do not be surprised if you find yourself amazed by how these things were built way before the tech we have now.
No, we are not talking about Winston Churchill. Instead, we are talking about Churchill in Manitoba. What is so special about this place? Well, if you love polar bears, this is the place to be!
Churchill is one of the best places where you can look at polar bears in their natural habitat. Do note that this means the location is quite remote, so you will have to take a plane or a train to get to the area.
That said, the polar bears will usually only appear around October or November. If you pay a visit during the summer, you will have a chance to spot beluga whales instead. Either way, it is still a beautiful place to visit whenever you go.
Apart from what we have shared so far, there is a myriad of other places that you should also visit. Take, for instance, the Rideau Canal, the world’s largest outdoor skating rink. It stretches 7.8 kilometres long and is even acknowledged as the largest by the Guinness World Records!
With that said, whichever place you decide to visit, you cannot go wrong! Canada is a beautiful country, and you are in for a real treat when you take the time to explore.
